AKB48 Primer - Team B
Team B was the third team formed from (mostly) 3rd gen members in 2006. Their team colour is blue. Typically Team B has a cute and idol-like image.
The current line-up was formed in December 2017 on AKB48’s 12th anniversary. There are 18 members, six of whom also belong to Team 8.
They have had three original stages and are currently reviving their fifth stage, Theater no megami.
Their latest team song is Atarashii chime.

Born October 4th, 1994
27 years old
Joined as part of 13th gen in 2011.
Captain of Team B.
Currently the highest election ranker (#22) to never have been selected for senbatsu.
Used to terrorise members by feeding them insects but I think she's over it now.
Studies French and has a DELF A2 Diploma.

Okuhara Hinako (Hiina)
Born November 18th, 2003

Joined as part of Team 8 in 2017.
Team 8 representative for Shimane Prefecture.
Really really really loves pudding.
Often called airheaded and stupid (she couldn’t read airheaded in kanji TT)
Member of kids idol group peony before joining AKB48.
Self-confessed DD.

Kitazawa Saki (Sakkii)
Born June 5th, 1997
24 years old
Joined as part of 13th gen in 2011.
Learnt ballet before joining AKB48 which she says helped her learn dances quickly.
Described by other members as the girl with the purest heart.
You can recognise her by her small size and pointy chin!
Severely underrated vocals.

Used to have a negative personality, but has become more positive since joining AKB48.
Buys outfits based on what the mannequin's wearing so she doesn't have coordinate it herself.
Was the voice and body double for CGI member Eguchi Aimi.

Born May 12th, 1995
26 years old
Joined HKT48 as part of 1st gen in 2011.
Transferred to AKB48 in 2014.
Special skill is imitating various inanimate objects and people, which she started doing while stuck in hospital for a year as a kid.
Has a youtube channel that's mostly about food.
Childhood friends with SKE48's Tani Marika.

Born October 6th, 2001
20 years old
Joined as part of Team 8 in 2014.
Team 8 representative for Tochigi Prefecture.
Did cheerleading in high school and is good at acrobatics.
Known for her dancing skills and for picking up choreography quickly.

Born June 27th, 1999
22 years old
Joined as part of draft 3rd gen in 2018.
Plays the euphonium and is learning the guitar.
Can imitate a cat.
Is a strong singer, and part of the AKB48 vocal unit, Melisma.
Currently trying out every obscure hair decision that she can think of.

Oldest member of AKB48, and says she won’t graduate till she’s at least 30.
Wrote a book for girls aspiring to be idols.
Known for her extreme overreactions on variety shows.
Has her own solo career and also a member of the sub-unit French Kiss.

Kubo Satone (Satopii)
Born November 20th, 2003
18 years old
Joined as part of draft 2nd gen in 2015.
Will graduate from AKB48 in March 2022.
Chosen for senbatsu while she was still a kenkyuusei!
Wants to be a sweet girl like fairy floss, but also wants to find something only she can do and develop a distinctive aura.
Can play the flute.

Born September 29th, 1997
24 years old
Joined as part of Team 8 in 2014.
Team 8 representative for Gunma Prefecture.
Loves cooking; has a cooking licence and her own cooking show.
Named Maria because she was supposedly born posing as if in prayer.
Fan of Morning Musume and AKB48 before joining the latter.
Has a pet dog named Cookie.

Joined as part of Team 8 in 2014.
Team 8 representative for Gifu Prefecture.
Was nervous about joining Team 8 a few months later than the original members, but was helped a lot by Honda Hitomi and together they formed the unit Fresshusshu.
Can play the trumpet (sort of).
Wants to try doing more mature and sexy songs and has around 500 gravure photos save in her phone.

Watanabe Miyuki fan whose favourite AKB48 Group song is Warukii and went to a lot of AKB48 events before joining.
Her special skill is sleeping a lot after eating.

Team 8 representative for Saga Prefecture.
Gives off the impression of being very serious and is strict with other members learning choreography, but actually messes around a lot.
Charm point is her weird eyes (I say that with love).
Has been learning guitar and wants to learn drums.
